Assessment of Spatial Water Quality Observation of Citarum River Bandung Regency Using Multivariate Statistical Methods

Citarum River is one of the most important rivers in Indonesia. Around 16 million people interrelate with this river, covers 12,000 Km2 watershed, supplies water for irrigation 420,000 hectares rice fields, provides 80% need city Jakarta- capital Unfortunately, Citarum was also known as polluted world. Although there much attention to river nowadays, still no analysis determine latent contributing factors quality cluster distribution. This study aims provide spatial on Bandung Regency. can help government decide how manage and all socio-cultural involved polluting river. Open Data use data result further research. Assessment done through application multivariate statistical approaches. The set comprises one-month observation from 75 stations positioned Regency its tributaries. Factor Analysis PCA extraction method gives two while CA showed three clusters suggesting different physicochemical characteristics pollution levels systems. BOD, COD DO, together total P Fecal Coliform are identified underlying tributaries Descriptive Statistic values confirm low quality.
